Professor George Guthridge

Author Talk

Would you like to talk to the author or have him speak to your class or group? Professor Guthridge conducts face-to-face talks and also is planning a nationwide tour to promote The Kids from Nowhere. Contact him at rfglg@uaf.edu.

Professor Guthridge is available for free talks to groups via audio-conference or face to face on his upcoming national tour. In 2001 he received the state's first Award for Excellence in Distance Education. His talks are exciting and informative.

Classes

Professsor Guthridge gives instruction to teachers and to students about his revolutionary methods of teaching writing and grammar. Using his methods, student scores have skyrocketed. Each year he helps prepare 50 rural American Native high school seniors for college in the Rural Alaska Honors Institute (RAHI). It is the nation's most successful college preparatory for Native Americans. Using his methods, the students have graduated from MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Yale Law School, the University of Washington Medical School, and West Point, to name just a few.
